On May 23, 2025, the Philippine Outbound Educators Institute (POEI) and Caritas Manila came together to launch a promising new partnership aimed at empowering young leaders and educators. The meeting, held at the Caritas Manila office, set the groundwork for training future facilitators for POEI’s experiential learning programs.
Representing Caritas Manila were Ms. AJ Nacino, Program Officer for the Post Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (Post YSLEP), and Mr. Arnel Alarcon, Associate for the Luzon Region. They welcomed POEI’s Mr. Barry Camique (Sales and Business Development Director), Mr. Oscar Orbe Jr. (Recruitment, Training, and Development Director), and Ms. Sharmaine Timpug (RTD Associate) for a meaningful discussion on educator engagement.
The partnership opens doors for Post YSLEP scholars and graduates to be trained as Outbound Educators under POEI. Beyond offering part-time work, the initiative supports a shared mission: to shape servant leaders, promote nation-building, and create transformative learning experiences for students.
More than a collaboration, this alliance is a step toward uplifting communities through education, leadership, and purpose-driven work.
